Subject: Re: Tandridge District Council Planning number TA/2018/1792 Moorhouse DPD Proposal near Oxted Surrey. (Case Ref: ZA54631)

Dear all,

Absolutely delighted to hear that our campaign to stop the DPD Depot at the Moorhouse Tiles site has been successful. DPD has decided not to pursue their interest in the site any further.

Alongside SORE, local and former Councillors, I have been fighting this application for nearly 3 years. A development with traffic at its heart was never suitable for our area and would have caused even greater strain on our roads.

This is a brilliant outcome and I pay tribute to the incredible hard work and commitment from the those opposing this application, in particular Sally-Ann Maine Tucker and Donald Payne from SORE, and former Councillor Nick Skellett.

I am sure we all want to see this disused site redeveloped for the benefit of our local community, and I look forward to seeing new plans and ideas for the site. I will continue to work to ensure that any development is right for our area

Yours sincerely,

Sam Gyimah MP
